VU Merit Badge University

Check in is at 7:00-7:30 am central/8:00-8:30 am eastern time @ the Jefferson Student Union 

Opening remarks in the Jefferson Student Union at 7:30 am  C/ 8:30am eastern time. 

MB classes begin at 8:00c/9:00e. 

Please complete your reservation by Wednesday, January 20, 2026.

The event is not first come first serve!

Your classes are not secure until your registration is paid in full.

If your registration is not paid and another group registers and pays, you may be dropped from the class if it fills up.

We will provide more information about class locations, lunch session, and logistics as we get closer to the event. Each MB is a full day session - exception is the Crime Prevention/Fingerprinting/Traffic Safety. 

We are working with the university to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible.by offering two separate lunch sessions.  

Please ask the Scout to review the requirements of the merit badge prior to registration, and review any prerequisites to be completed.

Please wear appropriate attire and proper footwear for walking the campus. 

All Scouts participating MUST be registered in a Troop, WEBELOS Scouts are not permitted to register or attend.

All participants need to have the liability waver signed (if under age of 18 it is to be signed by parent/guardian) and submitted on paper at the time of check in. 

We need adult leaders to assist in MB sessions, special rates apply for our first 15 volunteers offering to support the event staff. 

This event would not be possible without the full support of Vincennes University, be sure to share your appreciation to all VU staff assisting us. 

Reminder: it is required for all Scouts in attendance must have at least one adult leader or parent, registered for the event and available on campus for the duration of the event.
