Buffalo Trace Council
University of Scouting - November 19, 2022
Hosted by: University of Evansville
What is the University of Scouting?
The University of Scouting is a one day training opportunity for ALL SCOUTERS, whether young or just young at heart. Den Leaders, Cubmasters, and Pack Committee Members will love all of the Cub Scout focused courses we have available, as well as Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters will find new ways to improve their troop and camping experiences with scouts. Youth members are also highly encouraged to participate in this fantastic opportunity for supplemental training for their unit.
The day will be broken into six class periods. Basic Training for most program areas will be available in addition to a variety of supplemental training. Supplemental training goes beyond the basics of scouting to give all scouters knowledge and skills on specific topics to help them deliver the promise of scouting to scouting. Our goal is to offer additional classes that help you plan and prepare activities for your unit. Each individual class is offered at different times during the day and is of varying lengths. This means you can craft your individual schedule to take the training you want. Participants should be in their scout uniforms and bring their scout spirit, curiosity, questions, and a notebook. Make it an outing for your leaders and scouts. There will be something for everyone, no matter your age or skill level. Please consider inviting everyone within your unit to attend.
Registration fee is $20 for adults/ youth participants
$10 for staff
Registrations are due by Friday, November 11
The cost includes a patch, lunch, and certificate
