Fire Safety and Search & Rescue Merit Badge Day

Check in: 7:15 am CT/8:15 am EST till 7:45 am CT/8:45 am EST

Program begins at 8:00 am CT/9:00 am EST

Experience an action packed day learning about career fields in the Fire Safety & Emergency Management services from professionals within Indiana and Illinois. Numerous demos and hands-on activities.  

Bring two BLUE CARDS.

Lunch Options:

This event will provide a catered lunch. We will be providing a lunch from Dogwoods Bar B Que.

Menu includes pulled pork, fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, rolls with butter and lemonade to drink. 

COST:

Youth=$15; Adult=$10 (all must register to get a head count)

(We do need to have a minimum of ten Scouts to hold the event.)

Registrations must be complete by April 28, 2025.  

Several parts of this merit badge will be outdoors, so please come PREPARED for the day’s weather.

 We will also need to transport the Scouts to a local Fire Station at another location,

and each parent/'guardian needs to be informed of the changes in location at different parts of the day. 

Please make sure each Scout has reviewed the requirements for each merit badge prior to the event and comes prepared for the day. Water bottles and Scout activity t-shirts are encouraged.
