Winter Rendezvous

Maumee Scout Reservation

The Winter Rendezvous is January 17th-19th at Maumee Scout Reservation. Will there be snow you ask? We never know, but we do know that the Winter Rendezvous is fun either way!

The FEAST has an amazing menu (as always). Have you ever heard of Saarleaender Eintopf mit Raibrot, or Clafoutis, or Mandazi? Be prepared to try these new exciting foods at the Rendezvous FEAST!

New Klondike stations and challenge course events! Muzzleloaders, Shotguns, Tomahawks, and Biscuit cutting again this year! Practice your knots and hitches and fire building skills, but broaden your range because at the Rendezvous we like to think beyond the basics.

For the very first time at the Winter Rendezvous we will have Earth Images Pottery! Bob and Sharon Rainbolt are from Bloomfield and are coming to display and sell their goods (pottery, jewelry, and more!). They will teach you about the items they have, how they are created, and how they would have been sold & bartered at historical marketplaces and trading posts.

Since it was such a success last year, you will once again have the ability to pre-register for the following once you register your unit online.  

•       Pre-Register up to 2 sleds time slots
•       Pre-Register for tokens to the shotgun and muzzleloader stations
•       Pre-Register your Feast Seating preference
•       Pre-Register your campsite preference (units who have financially sponsored a dedicated campsite will be given top priority for the campsite which they have sponsored.) 

The sooner your unit registers the sooner your unit has opportunities to pre-register for those items listed above.

We will have two online leader (Scoutmaster and SPL) meetings via Zoom leading up to the event. One meeting will be formatted for units who have never been to Maumee or the Winter Rendezvous, and the other will be for those who need to understand the updates from previous events.
