Rangemaster Training for Cub Scout Volunteers

The Rangemaster course is a BSA-approved Training program designed to certify adult volunteers to safely plan, set up, and supervise Range and Target Activities (RATA) at Cub Scout events and day camps. Participants learn the skills and protocols needed to run BB gun, archery, and tomahawk ranges in compliance with BSA national standards.

The course covers range safety rules and range commands, proper equipment handling and maintenance, range layout and setup requirements, supervision techniques for youth shooters, and emergency procedures. Upon completion, certified Rangemasters are authorized to operate RATA ranges at council-sanctioned Cub Scout Activities, ensuring every Scoutgets a safe, fun, and memorable experience on the range.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH

Class begins at 9:00 am so arrive ahead of time and meet at the Administration building at the end of the parking lot at Maumee Scout Reservation. The course is predicted to end about 1:00 pm.
