Hoosier Hills District Pinewood Derby

The pinewood derby is one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that Cub Scouts make with help from their families. Then they race the cars in competition.
About the Event
9:00 am Check-in and car inspection.
Packs should check in as a unit and be registered online.
10:30 am Opening Ceremonies
After opening ceremonies we will do a "Last Chance Qualifier" race for the alternates and lone scouts. Depending on the number of scouts that show up, a certain number can advance to the main event.
Registration and Winning
The pack entry fee ($25) includes four entries into the day’s events. Three entries go straight to the finals from the first three place finishers from each pack. A 4th entry is permissible (the 4th place finisher from a pack or an alternate that will be entered into the "Last Chance Qualifier" for a chance to win their way into the final. Trophies will be awarded to the top ten finishers.
