Cub Scout Shoot- O- Ree - Take Aim- at Maumee Scout Reservation

The Cub Scout Shoot-O-Ree is our unofficial kick-off to the new year of Cub Scout programing! This event is open to registered Cub Scouts and their Cub Scout age siblings. The Shoot-O-Ree is especially great for boys and girls who just joined the program.

This year's lineup of stations includes Archery, BB Guns (Range), BB Guns (Inflatable), Dueling Trees, Bottle Rockets, Slingshot Trail, Balloon Launcher, Scavenger Hunt, Tennis Catapault, and Tomahawks.

This year the event offers two opotions: Day of Event (Saturday activities only, starting at 1pm) or Overnight (Friday campout through Saturday's full day of stations).

Overnight campers can check in at the camp administration building (at the end of the camp parking lot) between 6 and 8pm for a cracker barrel and campfire to kick off the weekend. Saturday starts with breakfast for campers, followed by exclusive access to all the shooting stations from 9am to noon. Non-campers are welcome to join the fun starting at 1pm, with activities running throughout the afternoon. The event wraps up Saturday evening - there's no camping Saturday night.

Overnight campers will receive a wristband at check-in so stations and staff can easily spot them during Saturday morning's camper-only session. Scouts working toward belt loops or adventure pins can track their progress with checkoff cards at the BB, Archery, and Slingshot stations.

Please check the weather forecast for the day of your choosing, and make sure each participant is prepared and dressed  appropriately. This is a “rain or shine” event! 

Registration is required for all Scouts and families attending.
