Bruce Voorhees Memorial Event

At the request of the Voorhees family, the Abraham Lincoln Council is honored to host a special event recognizing Bruce Voorhees and his many contributions to Scouting.

Location: Booth Lodge, Camp Illinek
Date: Sunday, September 14, 2025
Time: 5:00 p.m.

The program will begin with an opening prayer and welcome from the Voorhees family, followed by reflections and recognition of Bruce’s lasting impact on Scouting and the community. Guests will then be invited to share comments and memories.

Following the indoor program, we will move outside to plant a tree in Bruce’s memory before returning to Booth Lodge for additional remarks, fellowship, and refreshments of cake and punch. A display of Bruce’s memorabilia will also be available to view.

This is not a fundraiser, but for those who wish, contributions in Bruce’s honor may be directed to the Abraham Lincoln Council Endowment Fund.

Casual dress is welcome as we gather to celebrate Bruce’s legacy of service and friendship.
