Beginner Session – Introduction to Basic First Aid
This session is designed for younger Scouts and those who are new to first aid. Participants will focus on foundational skills such as identifying emergencies, getting help, basic wound care, treating minor cuts and burns, simple bandaging techniques, and understanding how to respond calmly in common situations. Scenarios will be age-appropriate and instructional in nature. Minor moulage (light, simulated injuries such as small cuts or bruises) may be used to enhance realism, but visuals will remain appropriate for younger participants. This session emphasizes learning the basics in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Advanced Session – Applied & Scenario-Based First Aid
This session is intended for Scouts who have prior first aid training and feel comfortable applying their skills in more realistic, scenario-based situations. Participants will work through complex emergency simulations that may include more detailed moulage (realistic injury makeup), bleeding control, fracture management, and multi-step response scenarios. Some simulations may appear visually intense in order to better prepare Scouts for real-world situations. This session is best suited for older Scouts who have already earned the First Aid merit badge.
Please review the descriptions carefully and register your Troop for the session that best matches their experience level and comfort.
