Event Details

Nuclear Science Merit Badge Clinic

Saturday, November 7, 2026 * 8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m

Discover the science behind nuclear energy during a special Nuclear Science Merit Badge Clinic hosted by the Kittan District and Constellation at the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station!

Scouts BSA youth are invited to the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station Professional Learning Center for a unique opportunity to work toward the Nuclear Science Merit Badge.

There are no prerequisites for this clinic—all merit badge requirements will be covered during the course. Scouts are encouraged to spend some time before the event reviewing the Nuclear Science Merit Badge pamphlet and requirements.

Parents are welcome to stay, too! At 8:30 a.m., parents will have the opportunity to tour the Simulator. The cost is $20 per Scout, which includes lunch and program supplies. Parents who would like to participate in lunch and the Simulator tour may register for $10 each.

Space is limited to 30 Scouts, and a minimum of 10 Scouts is required for the clinic to be held, so don’t wait to reserve your spot. Online registration closes Thursday, November 5, 2026, at midnight.
