Illowa Council Executive Meetings

If you're interested in learning what goes on behind the scenes, Executive Meetings will help fill in the gaps. These sessions are open to the public, except for the rare occasions when the board votes to go into closed session.

Board Meeting
The Illowa Council Board of Directors meets regularly throughout the year to provide strategic direction, ensure sound governance, and support the mission of Scouting America by strengthening programs, membership, finances, and community impact. Board meetings focus on long-term planning, policy oversight, and advancing initiatives that deliver exceptional experiences for youth and families across the council.

Executive Committee
The Illowa Council Executive Committee meets between board meetings to oversee council operations, monitor progress on key priorities, and address time-sensitive matters requiring leadership attention. These meetings help ensure effective stewardship of council resources, support strategic goals, and prepare recommendations for consideration by the full Board of Directors.
