On February 28th from 5 pm to 6 pm, Scouts BSA Troop 213, the "Troop of Kings," of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia will host in partnership with NEIC's Catholic and Jewish Committees, a Virtual Walk of Faith!

Ebenezer was previously led by Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and is currently led by newly-elected Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock. The Scouts of Troop 213 will host Northeast Illinois Council and Chicagoland Scouts in a Walk of Faith virtual interactive discussion.

Scouts from Troop 213 will lead local Scouts in an exploration of the Baptist faith, the history of their Church and Scout troop, and the legacy of Dr. King. This will be a truly amazing opportunity for our Scouts.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:  All Scouts, parents, and siblings! The target age for this activity is 5th grade and up, but all are welcome.

COST:  $5, includes a patch that will be sent to you after the event. Let us know if you want to pick it up at the council office to save us postage. 

HOW TO ATTEND:  Registrants will be emailed a Zoom link with instructions before the event.

IMPORTANT: Please wear your uniform for this event.

SCREEN NAMES:

1. When logging into the Zoom meeting please rename your screen name to reflect the real name of the participant

• a. Adults should use a prefix followed by their last name (Example: Mr. Bradbury, Mrs. Mandel, Rev. Jorgensen, etc.)
• b. Youth should use their first name and last initial (Example: Katie S., Robert H. Etc.)

2. If sharing a screen with a parent, identify who the participant is by using youth name or adult name format. Preferably, use separate devices.

VOLUNTEERS: We welcome parents and Scouts BSA to be volunteer facilitators. You will be given the opportunity to say "yes" when you sign up online.
