Join us for Pioneering Kit Training Day

This training qualifies you to use the Pioneer Kit with your troop or crew while camping at Camp Crown. Please bring your own lunch.

Once you complete the training, you can contact the council office to reserve it.  They will be provided with a list of all newly trained adults.

Steps to Reserve the Pioneering Kit for your Unit:

1. Contact the council Program Assistant: Debi.Geiger@scouting.org.  Tell her your Troop number, the name of the trained adult who will be in attendance, and the date you want to reserve it (provide a second date, if at all possible).

2. She will let you know if it is available one of those weekends, or if you need to provide another date.

3. Once a date is confirmed, complete a camping reservation for Camp Crown: campreservation.com/129/Camps/745.  You must reserve at least one campsite to use it.

4. Email Debi when you complete the reservation, so she can add the Pioneering Kit to your reservation.  She will let you know when she's finished.  

5. Show up at camp ready to work, learn, and have fun!

NEW - 3% CREDIT CARD PAYMENT PROCESSING FEE:  Anyone who pays their fees online with a credit card (beginning January 1, 2022) will also pay the 3% processing fee. Choose the Mail-in Payment Option (it looks like an envelope) to avoid these fees.

NEW - .5% (1/2%) E-CHECK PAYMENT PROCESSING FEE: The e-check option has been reactivated, and now has a .5% (1/2%) processing fee.  Choose the Mail-in Payment Option (looks like an envelope) to avoid these fees. 

MAIL-IN PAYMENT OPTION: The Mail-in Payment Options shuts off 15 days before the event, so make sure to complete your online registration before that date to avoid the above processing fees.  You can mail or bring a check to the council office (make payable to): Northeast Illinois Council B.S.A., 850 Forest Edge Drive, Vernon Hills, IL  60061, or NEIC Units can have an authorized user approve payment from their Scout Store Account.
