The Winter Council of Chiefs (WCOC) will be held at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells, WI beginning on Saturday January 25, 2025 at 10:00 am. – Kalahari Resort & Convention Center, 1305 Kalahari Drive Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965

Purpose

The Council of Chiefs is held to facilitate inter-lodge communication and idea sharing, to update lodges on new National Order of the Arrow programs, and to plan for this year’s Section Conclave to be held later in April. And we have lots of fun at the Winter Council of Chiefs at the Kalihari and Water Park building friendships and hanging out with like minded individuals. 

Meals

Lunch on Saturday is included and will be a Taco Bar! Bring money for Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast, and Sunday lunch. 

Health Form

You must bring a copy your Scouting America Health Form Parts A and B. 

Arrival

The Council of Chiefs starts promptly at 10:00 am on Saturday morning. Please arrive between 9:30 am and 9:45 am. The Council of Chiefs will end between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm, but no later than 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2024. The remaining time until departure Sunday is open for water park fun, games, and other activities.

Our Lodge will plan to leave Saturday morning to attend the WCOC. The specific time for your ride to leave will be dependent on your driver and the distance to the Kalihari in Wisconsin Dells. 

Departure

Your departure time will be dependent on your ride. Some drivers are willing to stay around on Sunday until well into the afternoon allowing time for more water park fun, etc. 

Hotel Rooms

For those staying overnight from Saturday to Sunday, your fee includes your room. Rooms will be divided by the BSA's Youth Protection policies for gender and age ranges; only 2 years of age difference between those under 18 sharing a room. Youth attendees will be up to 4 to a room. Adults will be 2 to a room. 

Ride Sharing

We usually have several adults attending WCOC. We will coordinate rides among the adults and the youth attendees through email or other communciations. If you are over 18, you may drive yourself but you may not have an unrelated under 18 year old as a passenger. 

Payment Notices

A 3% Processing Fee will be assessed for all online Credit Card payments. **A 0.5% Processing Fee will be assessed for all online e-Check payments. *** Checks sent or brought to 850 Forest Edge Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061, will not be assessed this Processing Fee. Make sure the Memo line mentions your registration number.
