Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan High Adventure Treks 2020

Event Details

Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation is proud to be a Nationally Accredited High Adventure Base. Your Unit can take in the vistas on foot at one of our backpacking destinations, paddle through the cool water on one of our kayaking or canoe treks, or relax on sailboats in Lake Superior.  We'll also offer more provisional treks for the Youth in your units...now called Individual Treks. See below for details. If you don’t see a trek that you like, contact the camp staff about a custom itinerary.

We also offer in-camp day trips (that are designed to compliment your stay at Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan) or adventures outside of the regular camp program.

To receive information about Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan’s High Adventure Treks, troops must submit a MSR High Adventure Request Form-2020 with the appropriate fees (available Fall of 2019 in Attachments).  This is a non-refundable fee.  With its payment, you will receive the High Adventure Packet.  None of it will be applied toward registration fees or additional fees accrued during your trek, nor does it get your unit registered for the high adventure trek program.  Your trek contact (listed on this form) receives online registration information.  It is vital you contact Debi Geiger at the council office should someone else take over as your unit’s trek contact.
