Each year, thousands of Scouts have an unforgettable summer at Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation. Located in the North Woods of Wisconsin, Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan consists of over 1,500 acres of beautiful forest, six spring-fed lakes, and a natural creek. The reservation is home to two full-service camps, a wilderness camp, a high adventure base, and a horse ranch.

Committed to excellence for over 90 years, Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan is one of a handful of scout camps in the nation to receive a perfect accreditation rating from the BSA. Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan is located in Pearson, 25 miles northeast of Antigo, Wisconsin.

TRADITIONAL CAMP

Once your Troop or Crew has reserved a campsite, your Camp Coordinator will be added to our email list.  In December, he or she will be emailed instructions, deadlines, registration links, etc., so when registration opens, they can immediately begin to sign up scouts and adults from your unit.  Remember, Traditional Camp registrations must be completed by the unit's camp coordinator, only.

Scoutmasters and Crew Advisors:  Contact Debi at the council office if you are unsure who is listed as your camp coordinator, or if someone else has taken over that role (and you want to ensure she was informed).  Also make sure she has your information, so you can be kept "in the loop". Thank you.  

SCOUT AND FULL-TIME ADULT FEES

• $345 - Scout early discount fees if paid in full by May 15 (4:00 pm mail/walk-in; 11:59 pm online)
• $370 - Scout regular fees if paid in full May 16-June 15*  (4:00 pm mail/walk-in; 11:59 pm online)
• $200 - Full-time Adult Leader fees if paid in full by May 15  (4:00 pm mail/walk-in; 11:59 pm online)
• $230 - Full-time Adult Leader fees if paid in full May 16-June 15*  (4:00 pm mail/walk-in; 11:59 pm online)

*Registration will close June 15 for Week 1, then one week later for subsequent weeks at camp. 

SCOUT/ADULT DISCOUNT RATIOS:

• 1-10 Scouts = 1 Adult Discount Applied
• 11-20 Scouts = 2 Adult Discounts Applied
• Up to 6 Adult Discounts Applied

NEW IN 2020:  WALK-IN FEES”:  If a Scout or full-time adult decides to attend after that week’s “registration closes” date, they will need to pay the “Walk-in Fee” when they get to camp.

• $400 – Scout Walk-in Fee
• $260 – Full-time Adult Walk-in Fee.  They will still be charged less than Part-time Adults who can only pay at camp.

PART-TIME ADULT FEES:  $50 Per Night – PAID AT CAMP UPON ARRIVAL.  The fee includes all meals and space with troop/crew each day/night, and everything else the Full-time leaders have access to.  Since part-time adult schedules often change, we do not allow units to sign up these adults online or pre-pay these fees.
