Boo Camp 2023

Event Details
Registration is open!
Join us on October 14 for Cub Scout Boo Camp!

New in 2023! Boo Camp will be at Camp Sol R. Crown in Trevor, Wisconsin, and registered NEIC Cub Scouts & Parents are Free!

You won't want to miss our annual Halloween Event! Join us this year for Boo Camp! It is open to all Cub Scouts and their families.

Boo Camp mixes Halloween fun with Scouting adventure.  Cub Scouts and their families, Dens, or Packs can enjoy a tractor hayride, climb, cross a rope bridge, play fun games, shoot archery or BB guns, and much more.  All of these activities are included with your registration! Boo Camp is also a great opportunity to get information on upcoming events, meet other Packs and Scouts BSA Troops, and simply enjoy time outdoors!

Adult Supervision: Boo Camp is not a drop-off program. Youth should be supervised by a parent or adult leader at all times.  Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. As per BSA rules, Lions (Kindergartners) and Tigers (First Graders) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pack or Dens that are attending Boo Camp together as a group should ensure they have adequate leadership to supervise their Scouts (we recommend at minimum a 1:4 ratio of adults to youth).

Cost:

  • Discounted NEIC Registration: Boo Camp registration is included as a part of the Northeast Illinois Council's Annual Youth Registration Fee for registered NEIC Scouts and leaders. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy under our open-air porticos, or you can pre-order an optional lunch for a small fee. Lunch and snacks will also be available to purchase at the event.
  • For Non-NEIC members or youth unregistered in Scouting: The cost to attend Boo Camp is $20 for youth and $10 for adults. Children 3 and under are free!

Parking: Parking at Camp Crown is very limited and is reserved for staff and Accessible Parking only. Parking will be at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds, located at 10862 Fox River Rd, Wilmot, WI 53192, just North of downtown Wilmot! Shuttle buses will bring you to and from Boo Camp. Accessible parking will be available at Camp Crown. Please indicate during your registration if you require a placard.

Clothing:  All guests are encouraged to come in their best family-friendly Halloween costume, a pack t-shirt/sweatshirt, or whatever family-friendly attire you want! Please be considerate of others when choosing the theme, and do not bring toy weapons of any kind to camp. Be sure to dress according to the weather. Boo Camp temps have been everywhere between the 30's and 80's over the previous years.

Weather:  Be Prepared! Rain/snow will not cause cancellation. Boo Camp will only be canceled in the event of severe weather (registration contacts will be notified with a blast email).

Trading Post: An optional Boo Camp Shirt will be available if pre-ordered during registration on or before September 28th, 2023. Various items (candy, former event patches, former event t-shirts, etc.) will also be available to purchase at the event. We will be able to accept credit cards but remember to bring cash just in case.

Concessions and Lunch: A Hot-Dog Lunch combo (with a drink and snack included) is available for $5 if pre-purchased during registration. Pre-ordered lunches begin being served at 11AM. You are also welcome to bring your own sack lunch to eat during the event. Additional snacks will be available at the event. Remember to bring cash.
