Pinewood Derby Races-Council Edition

Is your Pack looking for a way to hold your Pinewood Derby?  

The Northeast Illinois Council has a track set up for in-person & virtual Pinewood Derby Races and a team of dedicated volunteers who will be able to run and live-stream your Pack’s race for you to watch trackside or from the comfort of your own home!  Registration is by Pack, not separately as families. Your Cubmaster or a Pack Coordinator should complete the registration for the entire Pack (No individual registrations will be accepted.) Thank you!

Car Inspection:  All cars must be inspected and approved by your Pack prior to being dropped off at the council office at least two days before the date of your race. 

Please remember to drop off the Inspected Pinewood Derby cars and a registration spreadsheet at the Kasperson Center before 5 PM, the Friday before your race weekend.

Cost: The early-bird price is $1 per car until 11:59 pm on January 28th. The regular price is then $2 per car.  FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Sessions: 

Duration: 60 minutes
IMPORTANT LIMITS: Only ONE Pack can register for each Start Time, and it can only complete one registration.

• 1:00 PM
• 2:00 PM

OTHER DATES TO CHOOSE FROM: February 3rd & 4th or February 10th & 11th

Packs can sign up for as many sessions as necessary.

The Build-a-Car Pinewood Derby Workshop is on January 20, 2024 (registration closes Jan. 19th, so sign up today!) - For the woodworking stages of your car only, please paint them at home.

*A 3% Processing Fee will be assessed for all online Credit Card payments. **A 0.5% Processing Fee will be assessed for all online e-Check payments. *** Checks sent or brought to 850 Forest Edge Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061, will not be assessed this Processing Fee. Make sure the Memo line mentions your registration number.
