The Northeast Illinois Council is sending a contingent (group) of Scouts to the 2026 National Jamboree. Scouts will be assigned a unit that consists of 36 youths and 4 adult volunteers.

Our contingent leaves from the Council Service Center in Vernon Hills on Wednesday, July 21, 2026. The Jamboree takes place at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia from July 22 to July 31. The contingent will return to Vernon Hills, Illinois on August 1st.

Scouts, Venturers or Shipmates must have a current troop, crew or ship membership. Scouts must be 12 years old or older by July 22, 2026, and not older than 18 by July 31, 2026. Venturers and Sea Scouts must be 14 years or older by July 22, 2026, and not older than 20 by July 31, 2026.

The Jamboree cost of $2,750 is all-inclusive of travel to and from West Virginia, on-site Jamboree programming, food at the event, cot, tent, campsite equipment and contingent gear (duffel bag, backpack, hat, shirt, patches). Extra contingent gear will be available for purchase.

NOTE: Payments are based on what NEIC needs to pay the National Service Center of Scouting America for the event, so timely payments are necessary for attending.

Registering through this page is committing your youth to attend the Jamboree. Provided you pay as scheduled, the council will manage your youth's registration with the Jamboree and communicate to you about any other needs for registration.
