West Camp Registration Guidelines
Unit Registrations
Each unit may reserve one registration per week for West Camp. All registrations must be submitted by the designated Summer Camp Coordinator for your unit. If a Scout is interested in attending, please reach out to your unit's coordinator directly.

Provisional (Individual) Scouts
Scouts who wish to attend Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Summer Camp outside of their unit’s scheduled week—or whose unit is not attending camp—may register as Provisional Scouts.
Parents or guardians should contact Debi Geiger, Program Assistant, at Debi.Geiger@scouting.org or call 847-748-9161 for assistance. Alternatively, the designated Registration Contact may complete a separate online registration for individual Scouts attending provisionally.

For Northeast Illinois Council Units

• Use the Autofill button next to each participant spot to add names already in our system.
• If a name is missing, use the Update Information button to enter their details.
• If a participant should already appear in our records, please contact your Unit Leader and include Debi Geiger and Sam Dummer in your email so their BSA registration status can be verified.

Fees & Deadlines
To view specific pricing and deadlines for your selected week, click "Additional Information" and then "$ View Pricing" in the registration system.

Additional Unit Contacts
Up to two additional Unit Email Addresses may be added under the “Registration Contact” section. These contacts will receive important system-generated emails but will not have access to the registration itself.

Registration Phases
Unit Commitment Phase

• Begins at registration launch
• Requires a $100 non-refundable, non-transferable Unit Commitment Fee
• Only basic information is needed: Registration Contact and estimated number of participants
• The fee can be paid at checkout or selected as “mail-in/pay later.”

Regular Registration Phase (Begins January 1, 2026)

• Participant names and details must be entered for each Scout, Adult, or Part-Time Adult
• Only reserve the number of participant spaces that you can fill with complete information
• After submitting the registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a personalized link to return, add participants, or make changes

Campsite Preferences & Fees

• Up to three campsite preferences can be submitted in the Registration Contact section
• Campsite assignments will be finalized after the early registration fee deadline
• Additional sites may be added based on total registered and paid participants
• A $100 campsite fee per site will be added to your registration once your campsite is confirmed
• This fee may be covered by your initial Unit Commitment Fee or paid separately
• You will receive an email notification once your campsite assignment is finalized and the fee has been applied
