2017 Training Academy is scheduled on Veterans Day. Because military service closely aligns with many of the 12 points of the Scout Law, honoring veterans’ service is only natural! 

Training Academy online registration has closed in order to process schedules. WALK-IN onsite registration will be available ON-SITE at Sycamore High School on Saturday November 11th. Please come prepared with your $35 fee and pre-select your classes from the Training Academy GRID to speed up your registration when you arrive! See you at Training Academy 2017!

From collaborative, leader-specific classes to enrichment courses, there’s something for everyone:  rocketry, wood carving, cooking, advancement special needs strategies, STEM-focused classes, and much, much more! 

Where:  Sycamore High School,  427 Spartan Trail, Sycamore. 

What: Adult training for all levels of Scouting (Cub Scout, Webelos, Boy Scout, Varsity, and Venturing). Take up to five classes during the day. Register today to ensure the classes you want are still open!

Who: All Scouting Leaders. Please attend in uniform, if you have one.

Registration 7:30 am –8:30 am

Opening Ceremony 8:30 am –9:00 am

Classes (five periods) 9:10 am –3:30 pm

Closing Ceremony 3:30 pm –4:00 pm

Cost: $30 early bird (on or before November 4th) | $35 after November 4th)

Extras: The Scout Shop will be open through lunch. The Vendor Midway will be open during lunch and hosts vendors with ideas, activities, and products to enhance your unit’s program.

Each person who registers will be able to select 5 class periods of training. Please use the 5 dropdowns to make your selections. You will want to make your choices before registering, by opening the Course Selection GRID attached and viewing your choices for each period. Please make your selections NOW. Walk-in registrations and course selections are based on availability, so choose them now to get what you really want!
