WHO this training is designed for:

• Den Leaders and Assistant Den Leaders
• Cubmasters and Assistant Cubmasters
• Pack Committee Chairs and Pack Committee Members

WHAT: Cub Scout Leader Position-Specific Training

This essential training helps leaders understand their role and responsibilities, ensuring they deliver the Cub Scout program with enthusiasm, structure, and fun. Sessions are led live by experienced Cub Scout leaders who are ready to support you and answer your questions. You’ll gain confidence, clarity, and the tools to help your Scouts thrive.

If you're a new Cub Scout Leader, or an experienced leader who is taking on a new position, or a parent of a Cub Scout who wants to get involved, this course is for you! We have experienced volunteers, ready and willing to teach and support you!

This instructor-led offering is a comprehensive version of the basic training for Cub Scouters, and this training does not expire. So, after successfully completing this half-day session you will have completed the required leader-specific training for all of the above Cub Scouting leadership positions.

*Please note that Cubmasters, Den Leaders, and their assistants also are required to complete Hazardous Weather Training (every two years), which is not part of this offering but is available on-line.)

Cost: $2.50 (covers the official “Trained” strip) Note: Please bring your own snacks and drinks.

WHERE: Online and In Person

The September training sessions will carried out by Zoom. You will receive a Zoom link the week before the session. Locations for remaining sessions will be announced 30 days in advance for each session.  The goal is to have a session in the northern, central, and southern portions of the district.
