2027 Wood Badge

What is Wood Badge?
Wood Badge is the premier adult training program of Scouting America. It teaches contemporary leadership and team development skills in an outdoor setting. Its purpose is to aid Scouters in providing a quality program that will enable Scouts to grow to their greatest potential. The course encompasses key concepts of management skills, from leaders in the management field; therefore, this course can be helpful not only in your Scouting role, but also in your career, personal and religious life.

To be eligible to participate in Wood Badge, you must:
- Be registered members of Scouting America. (Youth 18 and older may attend as long as the appropriate Youth Protection guidelines are followed. They do not need to be registered in an adult leadership role.)
- Have completed the leader specific training courses for your Scouting position.
- Be capable of functioning safely in an outdoor environment. All participants are required to complete the Annual Health and Medical Record form.
Dates:
- April 4, 2027 Participant Orientation
- April 23 - 25, 2027 Weekend #1
- May 16 - 17, 2027 Weekend #2
The Course is 5 full days beginining early in the morning (6:00 am) on Friday April 23 and continues through weekend one finishing around 5:00 PM on April 25. Weekend 2 begins early in the morning (6:00 am) on Saturday May 16 and finishes up around 5:00 PM on Sunday May 17.
Course size is limited to 48 participants, SIGN UP EARLY! You can reserve your space in this course by filling out the online application and submitting a non-refundable deposit of $75.
All fees must be paid in full by March 1, 2027
