TACK, the Three Fires Council Sea Scout training event will be held Saturday January 27, 2024, at New Song Community Church, 2858 Hafenrichter Rd, Aurora.  Hours are 8:30 until 5:00.

This training opportunity allows Sea Scouts to meet many of the rank requirements for Apprentice, Ordinary and Able ranks, and for adults to meet requirements for a Safe Boating course, Safe Swim Defense, and Safety Afloat.  Topics will be offered on a round robin basis with each class lasting 50 minutes.  Topics include ILSS, Knots And Splices, Rules Of The Road, Sound And Light Signals, Safety, Fire Extinguishers, Marine Environmental Protection, Ground Tackle and Anchors, Marine engines, Small Sail Boats, Marine Radio, and Chart Plotting and Navigation. We will also set up a Land Ship and do ceremonies.

Registration fee is $20.00 for patch and materials.  Bring a sack lunch.
