Cub Scout Abilities Awareness Event
Experience through several activities the challenges faced by people who may have physical, sensory, motor and invisible disabilities. Many of the activities will count toward earning the Wolf Cubs Who Care elective
and the Webelos Aware and Care elective
Participation in the event could earn your pack the
Abilities Awareness Unit designation and the right to wear the strip pictured above on your scout uniform
Ability Awareness Coordinator Training
At the same time, adults from your unit may attend the training to become an Ability Awareness Coordinator for your unit. The person holding this position with the unit is
responsible for promoting awareness, inclusion and
opportunities for youth with special needs in the scout unit. The training will cover the responsibilities and opportunities for further training.
