Several Registration Options

Locomotion Full weekend Friday evening through Sunday morning.  Includes all events and all meals on Saturday and quick breakfast on Sunday morning.  IOLS & BALOO Attendees come early on Friday evening to join in all the fun!

Trivia Night Friday evening only:  Join us for all the fun on Friday evening

Locomotion Saturday only: Includes all events and meals on Saturday.

BALOO & IOLS (only):  Registration begins on Saturday morning at 7:30 and we begin promptly at 8:15 AM.  We will conclude Sunday afternoon around 4:00 PM.  Participants in this course must attend all sessions including camping overnight.  This is a introductory course for Leaders to take Cub Scout Packs on campouts and will also include IOLS intended for an introduction to Scouts BSA outdoor skills.  Participants of BALOO & IOLS (only) are encouraged to join us for the entire weekend beginning Friday evening for Trivia and continuing through Sunday.

IOLS (only):  Registration begins Saturday after lunch.  Campsites need to be setup beginning around 1:30 PM with sessions starting at 2:00 PM.  This is an Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills required for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters to become fully trained, but all are welcome to learn outdoor skills.  Participants of IOLS (only) are welcome and encouraged to join us for the entire weekend beginning on Friday evening as you'll be able to take other training courses Saturday morning along with more fun and networking along the way.

Location: Camp Big Timber, Elgin IL - Tent camping (for those who wish to camp) and other activities at Camp Big Timber.  Volunteers will assist those new to camping, ensuring everyone is comfortable in getting their equipment setup.

Friday Night: Arrival, set up tents, and a fun evening of Trivia hosted by the 2025 Wood Badge Course.  All are welcome to join in the fun!

Saturday: A full day of fun, networking and learning through various educational sessions.  Our evening includes a campfire program and one additional activity.

Sunday Morning: The event wraps up around 9:00 AM, but  IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills) and BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) courses continue throughout the day for participants who wish to complete these certifications.

Extra Perks:

Meals Included: You won’t have to worry about cooking! Volunteers will prepare meals, allowing everyone to maximize their weekend experience.

Non-Campers Welcome: If camping isn't your thing, you can still participate in Trivia Night on Friday or join for the full day on Saturday.

Unique Trainings included in our Locomotion Weekend:

BB & Archery Rangemaster Training - become trained for District & Council events, camporees, Day Camp, Forge On, etc.

Campmaster Training - become trained to assist our Ranger on very busy weekends at camp - see full course description in registration and weekend guide attachment

Climbing Wall Training - This training will teach participants how to operate and run our portable climbing wall for events

CPR/AED Training (Additional $30 fee) -Using a combination of self-paced, interactive online CPR classes and in-class skill sessions, our groundbreaking blended learning courses give you the ability to train on your schedule, and demonstrate your skills to a certified instructor.
