Leave No Trace Skills Course
Participants taking the two-day Leave No Trace Skills Course learn Leave No Trace skills, ethics and have several opportunities to practice these low-impact techniques during the course. Leave No Trace Skills Course graduates are prepared to discuss the Leave No Trace principles with others and practice low-impact skills and techniques on future endeavors. In addition, you can expect to pick up some great backpacking tips with broad applicability that can help set you up for longer distance multi-day hikes, alpine climbing and more. This course is designed for everyone. From those who wish to learn basic backpacking skills to outdoor guides, just about anyone can benefit from this course.
Participants must be 13 years or older to participate in this course.
All Participants must bring a lunch for both days. For Saturday, participants will bring a traditional sack lunch. For Sunday, participants will be cooking on backpacking stoves. Trail meals are suggested for Sunday lunch so everyone can practice packing in, cleaning up and packing out lunch materials. More information to follow for registrants.

****This course is held over two days from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM on both Saturday October 12 & Sunday October 13*** Overnight option is not offered for this course.
This course satisfies the requirement for Leave No Trace Skills Course for the National Medal for Outdoor Achievement
This course will not train attendees to become a Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor, but allow Participants to gain skills to use and share.
