MB: KCOEC-1st Class Trail Advancement Day
Event Details
The Three Fires Council BSA, in partnership with the Kendall County Outdoor Education Center are ready to challenge Scouts to learn and earn requirements for their Tenderfoot, 2nd Class and 1st Class Ranks.
Schedule:
8: 30 am - Check in begins
9:00 am - Welcome
9:45 am - Begin the 5 mile hike - All Scouts
- Identify or find evidence of 10 native plants
- Discuss safe trip afloat
11:00 am - Lunch Break (Bring a sack lunch)
11:30 am - 1st Class Scouts leave 5-mile hike and begin their 1 miles orienteering course
11:30 am - 2nd Class and Tenderfoot scouts continue on 5 - mile hike
- Identify or find evidence of 10 kinds of wildlife
- Identify 10 local poisonous plants
1:30 pm - Regroup and review
2:00 pm - Dismissal
All class participants will need to meet at the KCOEC - Kendall Co. Outdoor Education Ctr. to begin.
