Let's Go To The Summit!

The 2017 National Scout Jamboree is scheduled for July 19–28,2017. This will be the second event at the National Jamboree's permanent home at the Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia. We just call it "The Summit" for short! Over 60,000 Scouts and Venturers from all over the world attended the 2013 Jamboree. Join us and explore almost 11,000 acres of Scouting high adventure. The 2017 Jambo will be the most action-packed Scouting event ever - with mountain biking, paddle boarding, skateboarding, rock climging, zip lines, whitewater rafting, kayaking, scuba, shooting sports, ATVs, rock concerts and much, much more! Who’s Eligible to Go'

You MUST be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree or an 11 year old that has graduated the 6th grade, but has not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the Jamboree.

Three Fires Council will once again be hosting several contingent troops and crews to attend the National Jamboree in 2017. A contingent Troop going to the Jamboree is made up of 36 Scouts and 4 adult leaders. Venture Crews are comprised 8 youth and 2 adult leaders. The only way for Scouts and Venturers to attend the National Jamboree is through a Council-sponsored contingent Troop or Venturing Crew.

What Does All This High Adventure Cost'

Attending the National Jamboree with a Three Fires Contingent Troop or Crew will be approximately $1,650 for the 10-day adventure. Payments for the 2017 Jamboree will be paid to Three Fires Council on a predetermined payment schedule. A $250 non-refundable deposit will be required at time of registration.

How Do I Sign Up'

Signing up to attend the National Jamboree is a two-part process:

First, go to the BSA National Jamboree website. Follow the instructions carefully and register online. There is no payment required to register through the BSA site.

Second, register right here with Three Fires Council and make your non-refundable $250 deposit to reserve your spot in one of our Troops or Crew. Read the payment and refund Policy carefully. Deposits are not refundable and regular payments will be required over the coming months in order to secure your spot with our contingent.

Please note that you MUST register through the BSA National Jamboree site. BSA collects much of the same information as we do; however, they do not collect payments. Once you're registered with the BSA, we'll get a notice that you're all signed up. After you've registered with Three Fires Council and made your deposit, we'll be contacting you to let you know if we need any more information and to give you instructions on what to do next.

NOTE - you do NOT need to enter a BSA National Jamboree registration code during the Three Fires Council payment process. Just go right into our registration foms and make your payment.

If you have any questions at all, please email them to TFCJamboree@scouting.org and one of our awesome volunteers will get in touch with you to assist.
