EVERY SCOUT DESERVES A TRAINED LEADER!

Join Scouting America Three Fires Council at Sycamore High School for a day of learning, connection, and Scouting fun at University of Scouting!

Whether you’re a new volunteer, a seasoned Scouter, a new parent, or simply looking to learn something new, there’s a course for you. Choose from a wide variety of training opportunities, including:

Mental, Social & Emotional Health – A series of courses focused on supporting the well-being of Scouts and volunteers.

New Parents in Scouting – Helpful courses designed to give new Scouting families the knowledge and confidence to get the most from their Scouting experience.

Membership & Recruitment – Practical ideas and proven strategies to welcome new families, grow your unit, and strengthen your Scouting program.

Hands-On & Fun Classes – Roll up your sleeves and learn by doing with courses designed to make Scouting skills engaging and memorable.

Scoutbook Plus – Offered during two different class periods, giving you flexibility to fit this valuable training into your schedule.

The Secret of the Council Budget – Join Scout Executive/CEO Ron Wentzell for an entertaining and informative look at how the Council budget works. The secret? There is no secret!

Classic Scouting Topics – Plus many of the subjects Scouters have enjoyed learning and sharing throughout the years.

CHOOSE YOUR FIVE CLASSES

Each registered participant may select five (5) class periods. When registering, use the five course-selection drop-down menus to make your choices.

Plan ahead! Before registering, open the Course Selection GRID to review the classes available during each period and decide which five courses you would like to attend. Printable course catalogs are also available in the right-hand column of the registration page.

Walk-in registration and course selections are based on availability, so register today and secure the classes you really want to take!

                     Opening Ceremony             8:30 am – 9:00 am
                     Classes (five periods)*        9:10 am – 3:20 pm

Where:   Sycamore High School
               427 Spartan Trail, Sycamore, Illinois

Cost:      Adult Attendees - $20 
               Instructors - FREE
               Instructors who also want to take classes - $10 (email Tara.Holman@Scouting.org to use this registration option)

One complimentary University of Scouting event patch comes with every Adult registration. Additional patches can be purchased for $4. Walk-Ins are welcome; add $10 late fee for walk-ins on November 14.

Lunch Option: You may bring a lunch or choose to purchase a Turkey or Vegetarian box lunch (includes sandwich, chips, cookie, and a bottle of water) from the Sycamore Tom & Jerry's for $12 in advance when registering online. A limited amount of lunches will be available for purchase for $15 on site.

Extras: 

• The Scout Shop will be open during lunch.
• The Midway will be open during lunch and hosts vendors with ideas, activities, and products to enhance your unit’s program.
• Complimentary coffee, hot water for tea, and bug juice are provided throughout the day.
• A Snack Shack will offer snacks, soda, and bottled water throughout the day for purchase.
