OA: 2020 Vigil Elections
OA 2020 VIGIL HONOR ELECTIONS
Date: Sunday, Aug 16th from 1 pm to 4 pm (estimated end time).
Location: The Lodge at Camp Big Timber, Elgin, IL
WHO: 20 Youth OA members from each of the 3 Three Fires Council Districts. Chippewa, Potawatomi & Ottawa to assist with the 2020 OA Vigil Honor Elections. Youth desiring to assist in these elections should be Ordeal or Vigil members, or Brotherhood members who have less than 2 years as Brotherhood members and thus are not yet candidates for the Vigil Honor.
The Vigil Honor is one of the highest marks of distinction and recognition in the Order of the Arrow. It is reserved for the Arrowmen who are the epitome of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service. These Arrowmen have given exceptional service, effort, and dedication to their lodge, council, Scout camps, and Scouting as a whole. The Arrowman up for nomination must be in good standing (dues paid) with the Lowaneu Allanque Lodge 41, be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America, and have given at least two years of service as a Brotherhood Member.
Do to Covid19 concerns, this election will not be open to the full membership, unless you have specific reason to endorse a candidate. We will welcome brief statements that can be read if not already stated in candidate submissions.
