Complete a NOVA Award in 1 (one) session

Three Fires Council will offer “STEM-a-palooza”, during which a Cub Scout can complete a NOVA Award in one day

Time:                  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. -

Please arrive early to ensure classes can start at 9:00 a.m. sharp. 

(some pre-requisites required to complete Nova Award in 1 day)                                                                                             

STEM-a-palooza Cub Scout registration:                  $12

Bonus Adult Training Opportunity:                           $12

(Tigers/Lions are ineligible to receive NOVA awards.)

Payment can be made by credit card online.

We are offering four different sessions for Scouts:

·         Science Everywhere – DNA extraction

·         Science Everywhere – Forensics

·         Swing

·         Down and Dirty

The Nova Awards are distributed by your advancement chair after completing all the requirements. Some requirements do not fit within the time allotment and can be easily completed before or after the STEM-A-PALOOZA. Your instructor will provide directions during their session on completing the award

*****Bonus Adult Training Opportunity*****

There will be a bonus session for adults on how to teach a STEM Nova Award.  You will now be able to bring this skill back to your pack.

An interest in helping the Cub Scout earn the award is the only prerequisite.

A materials list will also be provided to run your own course.  The instructors will help you to put together your own kit.  Adults may register using the STEM-a-palooza registration program.
