 Did you earn the rank of Eagle Scout in 2018?

Would you like to receive a $500 scholarship?

Would you like to represent your Eagle Class at the Three Fires Council Eagle Recognition Dinner?

If you answered “yes” to all three questions, we’re looking for an outstanding Eagle Scout to represent the Class of 2018 at the TFC Eagle Recognition Dinner held on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019. Only one Scout will be chosen to deliver a speech on behalf of all 2018 Eagle Scouts. This Scout must have had his Eagle Board of Review in the year 2018 to qualify for this honor. The Scout who is chosen will receive a $500 scholarship.

If this is something you’d be interested in, here’s what you need to do:

1. Register online by 11:59 p.m. on January 4, 2019 (paper forms will not be accepted). Audition times will be offered on January 12, 2019 at the Norris Scout Shop.
2. Prepare a speech not more than five minutes long, relating to the Boy Scouts and being an Eagle Scout. Be creative – we hear a lot of the same things. It should include some type of charge or challenge to the Class of 2018.
3. Arrive 10 minutes before your audition time in your field (Class A) uniform. Your speech does not have to be memorized, but we will award more points for better presentation.

Whether or not you decide to audition, please submit a photo of yourself in your full uniform and one or two pictures from your Eagle project by attaching them to an email and sending to tfcphotos@scouting.org. Use “2018 Eagle photos” as the subject. Be sure to include your name, district and unit number in the body of the email. We want photos from all of the 2018 Eagle class to be included in a presentation during the dinner.
