Get your engines ready for the All District Pinewood Derby April 11th, 2026!

The top five pack winners, plus an alternate, advance and race to win the District Championships. (The alternate will race only if one of the top five finishers are unable to race.) 

***Location is at JB Nelson Elementary School***

Races
We will have three rounds of racing based on rank. Please plan on showing up 45 minutes prior to your race time to complete check in portion. Each race will last about an hour, if one rank contains a large amount of racers time may vary: 

• 10:30-11:30 : Lions and Tigers
• 11:30-12:30 : Wolves and Bears
• 12:30-1:30 : Webelos and AOL

SPECIAL NOTICES

GENERAL INFORMATION:

• All entrants must use Official Pinewood Derby kits. 
• Pre-manufactured, pre-assembled and/or customized kits are prohibited. 
• All entrants must follow Official Pinewood Derby rules, abbreviated in the handout, found in full inside the derby kits.
• In fairness, Scout cars are expected to be made by Scouts. 

PACK INFORMATION: 

• Top five Pack participants plus 1 alternate will advance to the All-District Championships.
• Pack will need to report pack winners including rank and contact information by April 7th to ensure scouts will be registered and eligible for the district finals.
• Pack must report who will be responsible for checking in the cars at the all-district event.
• Scouts must be present at start time of their event to qualify for placement and prizes

RACE EVENT INFORMATION:

• SCORING: Race Scoring will be based on Times Scoring. The three fastest cumulative times of 4 races total will be determine the winners.
• Scouts will race other scouts in the same rank/grade and run a total of four races
• This will allow each Scout to race on each lane of the track once to provide an even and fair racing level. 
• AWARDS: Will be given to the top 3 participants in each rank based on time scoring above.
• DISPUTES: Any disputes will be resolved by the District Activities committee
