Event Details

Welcome to another fantastic summer of Scouting at Camp Freeland Leslie! Each year our outdoor experience continues to be the highlight of our campers’ scouting career. The programs we offer for youth of all age ranges, as well as adult leaders, continue to be of exceptional quality. Our focus is on the patrol method and patrol cooking because we believe it creates the opportunities for youth to learn teamwork and leadership. This emphasis is not just a part of your stay at summer camp, it is the core mission of CFL.  Our core mission is provided to each and every camper at CFL with a customer service driven, high quality program. There are hundreds of camps teaching merit badges and offering special programs each summer, however our commitment to customer service is what we feel sets us apart from other camps. Your unit’s complete satisfaction is our #1 goal, and our staff will work tirelessly to achieve this goal.

This year, we will have Weeks 1-5 that will run from Sunday to Saturday and a  Week 6,  that is our L.D.S. friendly week from Monday to Saturday.  The LDS Friendly Week is designed specifically to support the Scouting and Spiritual programs for our LDS Units.  The Week 6 session will run 1 days shorter but will have the same number of merit badge sessions as our traditional weeks 1-5 and a similar amount of open area time and special programs.  In addition, to our traditional merit badge program, LDS religious elements are incorporated throughout the week.  Due to the different week structure, Week 6 camper fees and payment deadlines are different. Please review all other fees, payments and policies,as they remain applicable to Week 6.

Week 6 differences :

Challenge Adventure will not be available during Week 6 as focus will be on Advancement and Religious education.

Commissary services:  Units will cook Tuesday meals in their campsites.  Meals for the remainder of the week will be provided at our dining pavilion.  Units will have the option to cook all remaining meals in their campsite- not required.  Please check the freelandleslie.org for an LDS Week specific meal preparation guide.
