Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation 

Fox Valley District will be offering BALOO training for Cub Scout Leaders on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The location is the LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve 37W700 Dean St. St. Charles shelter #2  

Shelter #2 is on the south side of Dean Street, east of the main entrance.  The shelter is on the Great Western Trail.

The class will last from 9:00 AM sharp to 1:30 PM; check in at 8:30 AM.

This is a Class A uniform event, please bring a water bottle or cup a chair and something to take notes

Cub Scouts want to go camping!  Your Pack can nothold a family camp out unless you have a BALOO trained leader.  This course will give you the basics to run a fun filled and safe Cub Scout camping program foryour pack!  

The schedule includes:

​Morning:

The how and why of Cub Scout camping including planning, equipment, meal preparation and campfire programs.

Afternoon:

Fire safety, stoves and lanterns; first aid and sanitation; nature hikes and games; and cooking.

Cost is $9 per person, lunch and beverages provided.  Registration deadline is Thursday June 15
