Welcome to BALOO training!  It is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters.

BALOO training is comprised of two components – an online component and a practical hands-on component.  Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader.  

The online component must be completed prior to the practical component.  The online training contains introductory and basic information that will be built upon during the practical training.  The online portion is available through BSA LearnCenter.  Log onto my.scouting.org  and select the BSA LearnCenter image on the right side of the home page.  

When:  Saturday, September 19 to Sunday, September 20, 2026

Time:   Saturday 8:15 - 9:00 am check-in.  Instruction starts at 9:00 am.  Course finishes at 11:30 am on Sunday.

Where:  Camp Honokaia

Cost:  $40

THE REGISTRATION COSTS WILL COVER, DINNER ON SATURDAY EVENING AND BREAKFAST AND LUNCH ON SUNDAY.

THE SUNDAY LUNCH IS BEING PROVIDED IN ANTICIPATION THAT MANY OF THE ATTENDEES WILL STAY FOR THE CUB MASTER BASIC TRAINING ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

Note: Cubmaster Basic Session will be held following Baloo training from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday.  There is no cost for this training.  

Camp Honokaia will be open from Friday, September 18th to accomodate people who do not want to drive to Honokaia Saturday morning.
