Wood Badge

Wood Badge is the pinnacle of adult BSA leadership training rooted in the aims and methods of Scouting. This program is a five-day, advanced leadership course designed to best prepare adult leaders, volunteers, and professionals to deliver the mission of Scouting. It provides training that adult leaders can apply to their personal, professional, and Scouting life alike. Whether you are new to Scouting or a veteran, Wood Badge prepares adult leaders to deliver the mission of Scouting through contemporary leadership techniques and value-based programing.
During Wood Badge, the passion for Scouting in newcomers is often ignited and the commitment of Seasoned Scouters is revitalized. Plus, it's lots of fun! Although the course has transformed and modernized over the years, Baden-Powell's mindset still applies today: "One of the purposes of Wood Badge training is to get Scouters to think about the practice of Scouting, to meet together, to exchange experiences, and to live together in the spirit of the Scout Oath."
