Healthcare Merit Badge Days

Join us on the first Saturday of the month at the Thunderbolt Masonic Lodge for a healthcare-based Merit Badge. Registration is just $8, and lunch (pizza) is available for $6 or bring your own.

Registration is separate for each day. On days with two Merit Badges, Scouts can select to take either or both. Classes are limited to 20 Scouts. If you have already earned the badge, please leave room for others. 

Oct 4 - Emergency prep (8:30-4:00)

Nov 1 - Public Health(8:30-11:30) / Disabilities awareness (12:30-4:00)

Dec 6 - First Aid (8:30-4:00)

Prerequisites & Requirements:

October – Emergency Preparedness

To be completed before class and ready to discuss: Requirement 10

Can be signed off if completed prior to Merit Badge Day: Requirements 1 and 3

For Requirement 1, please bring proof of First Aid Merit Badge completion (a blue card or your merit badge sash will suffice).

November – Public Health & Disabilities Awareness

Can be signed off if completed prior to Merit Badge Day: Requirement 5

(Disabilities Awareness)

To be completed before class and ready to discuss: Requirements 4 and 7

Can be signed off if completed prior to Merit Badge Day: Requirement 2

December – First Aid

Extra: Scouts must bring the first aid kit they camp with in order to complete Requirement 2. This should already be part of their 10 essentials that they bring to all Scouting events.
