Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills
IOLS is the hands-on program that gives adult leaders the practical skills they need to lead scouts in the out-of-doors. The skills presented closely follow the Scout handbook and will prepare you to work with Scouts from the Scout rank to First Class.

PATROL OUTDOOR COOKING Learning how to cook and handle food safely is part of every Scout’s skill set. In this training you will learn how to teach these skills and more to your Scouts. You will also learn other new outdoor cooking techniques as well.
BASIC CAMPING SKILLS Leave No Trace camping is more important now than ever. Do you know how to build a cook fire and Leave No Trace? How to set your tent up so you will not wake up in a puddle when it rains? What knot to tie, What leaf is this, Which way is North? These and other skills taught to a Scout will make outdoorsman out of them.
CAMPFIRE Showmanship is part of Scouting that goes back to its founding. Learn the art of the campfire and the way to bring this back to your unit.
