EPA Award Camp

Two Weekends • 4 Merit Badges • 1 Award
The Environmental Protection Agency, as part of a public awareness campaign to celebrate its first 50 years, has partnered with the Boy Scouts of America to create an award for members of troops, crews and ships. This new award will recognize youth who research and learn about the subjects of human health and the environment, as the EPA develops its vision for the next 50 years.
Join fellow Scouts as you spend two weekends at Camp Tolochee earning the EPA 50th Anniversary Award. Scouts will complete four merit badges - Insect Study, Plant Science, Wilderness Survival, and Public Health - in addition to six hours of conservation service to meet requirements. Scouts must attend both weekends to earn the award. For those who participated the previous EPA event and choose to do so again, the Outdoor Ethics Awareness Award will be offered in place of Public Health.
Program limited to 16 Scouts, and meals will be provided for Scouts and attending leaders. See Scout guide for full program information.
