Cub Scouts

A mysterious object has streaked across the sky and crash-landed near Camp Pine Mountain! We need brave Cub Scouts and their families to join Task Force A.L.I.E.N. (Alien Life Investigation and Exploration Network) and investigate the site.

Mission Highlights

Alien Obstacle Course: Navigate a challenging alien obstacle course and put your Scout skills to the test! Work together, overcome obstacles, and complete your mission.

Alien Hand Scan: Create your very own official Alien Hand Scan! Your handprint has been cleared for intergalactic travel and will become part of your alien encounter experience.

Rocket Launch: Build and launch a rocket to send your very own message to the stars. Will your rocket make contact with the aliens?

Archery Defend Earth: Test your aim at our supervised archery range. Scouts will learn range safety and shooting skills while preparing to defend Earth from invading UFOs.

BB Gun Defend Earth: Take aim at our supervised BB gun range and put your marksmanship skills to the test. Expert coaches and proper safety equipment will help Scouts complete their mission.

Slingshot Defend Earth: Join the Earth Defense Team and test your accuracy at our supervised slingshot range. Scouts will learn safety and shooting techniques in a fun environment.

Free Family Fishing: Relax with the family and enjoy some free time fishing at Camp Pine Mountain Saturday afternoon. Bring your fishing gear and enjoy some time together outdoors.

AOL Meet the Troops: Arrow of Light Scouts will have an opportunity to meet the troops and learn more about the next adventure in Scouting.

Tent-or-Treat & Area 51: Decorate your family's campsite, table, or canopy and join the Tent-or-Treat contest! Bring your own treats and get ready for an evening of family fun as we investigate the mysterious Area 51 site.

Mission Night Family Movie: After a full day of defending Earth, grab a blanket and settle in under the stars for a family-friendly outdoor movie. Enjoy a relaxing evening together with your Cub Scout family.

Important Information

Registration: On-site registration is not available. All participants, including Cub Scouts, participating and non-participating siblings, adults, and friends, must be registered in advance.

Health Forms: An Annual Health and Medical Record is required for all participants. Forms are available at Scouting.org.

Camping: Cub Scouts must sleep with their families during this event. Families may also choose to participate in Saturday's activities without camping. Saturday-only participants must still check in and provide an Annual Health and Medical Record.

What You Receive: Each registered Cub Scout, participating sibling, or friend will receive a camp t-shirt, wristband, and event map/schedule. Additional t-shirts may be purchased during registration.

Clothing: Closed-toe shoes are required at Camp Pine Mountain. Participants should expect to get dirty and are encouraged to bring an extra change of clothing.

Food: Packs are responsible for bringing and cooking their own meals at their campsites. Propane stoves are permitted. Campsites do not have electricity and do not have grills. On-site concessions will be available for snacks and drinks and will be card only.

Parking: Vehicles must remain in the designated parking area in front of the bathhouse. Vehicles are not permitted at campsites. One Pack trailer may be unloaded at the campsite on Friday, and the vehicle may remain with the trailer.

Tent-or-Treat: Families are encouraged to decorate a table or canopy for the Tent-or-Treat contest. Decorations and costumes must be age appropriate. No swords, guns, knives, or similar weapons are permitted as part of costumes. Each family is responsible for providing their own treats.

Safety: All units must follow the buddy system at all times. Unit leaders and parents are responsible for knowing the location of their youth. Please follow the instructions of all event volunteers and activity staff.
