NRA Rifle

Basic Instructor Training

Chattahoochee Council Shooting Sports will conduct an NRA Rifle Instructor Certification Course. Participants who complete the training will become NRA Certified Rifle Instructors.

As an NRA-certified Rifle Instructor, you may:

• Serve on camp staff for Shooting Sports
• Become a Rifle Merit Badge Counselor
• Support the Shooting Sports Committee
• Provide rifle instruction to Scouts across the Chattahoochee Council

Who Can Attend

• Range Safety Officer (RSO)
• Anyone 21 years or older planning to supervise rifle ranges
• Rifle Instructor
• Anyone 21 years or older planning to train youth in Rifle Merit Badge
• Anyone 18 years or older planning to assist with youth rifle instruction
• Anyone 16 years or older wishing to apprentice under a qualified NRA Instructor
