Join us for an exciting Electricity Merit Badge Workshop hosted by TECO Energy, where Scouts will explore the electrifying world that keeps our homes, cities, and camps running every day.

WHEN: May 30, 2026 8am - 12pm

WHERE: 820 S. 78th Street, Tampa 

During this hands-on experience, Scouts will:

• Learn the basics of how electricity is generated, transmitted, and used
• Discover important safety practices when working with electricity
• Build simple circuits and complete key merit badge requirements
• Go behind the scenes with industry professionals who keep the power flowing
• Will cover fully requirements: #1, 4, part of 6, 8, 9- Scouts will need to do #2,3,5,7 & 10 on their own. 

This is a unique opportunity to learn directly from the experts at TECO and see real-world applications of electricity in action. Whether you're flipping a switch or powering a city, it all starts here! This course is limited to 50 Scouts and only 10 adults- please be sure to fill out your information clearly for check in requirements at the gate- Adults must show ID when entering
