Keys Adventure Sailing 

Join the GTBAC Council Contingent on a Sailing Trek based in beautiful Islamorada

As you know, it is every Scout’s dream to experience the ultimate experience and THE outdoor adventure of a lifetime. Individual Scouts are encouraged to register.  This is a great opportunity for a Scout to get a chance to go to Sea Base if his or her Troop/Crew/Ship is not able to attend in their own crew.  

The Council is offering an expedition to Sea Base from June 2nd, 2025 through June 7th, 2025 (the specific travel time(s) will be confirmed, once our arrangements are set). Sea Base is BSA’s High Adventure base in the Florida Keys.  Participants will have a once-in-a-lifetime unique experience as they participate in the Keys Adventure Sailing trek. Setting sail from Islamorada, crews will embark on three days of live-aboard adventure at sea.  Upon returning to base, they will be housed in our eco tents with bunk beds and air conditioning.  The remainder of the adventure will include days of snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding and a visit to historic Florida Keys sights.

In order to be eligible for a Sea Base adventure, Scouts attending must be age 13 by June 2nd, 2025.  Adults (male and female) 18 to 20 years old are considered youth participants.

Pricing

The TOTAL COST which includes Sea Base fee and transportation fees is: $2,200

Youth Participant: $ 2,200

Adult Leader: $ 2,200

*This round trip cost is estimated, subject to an increase based on any bus transportation costs

• Deposit - $200 Due by July 31
• Payment 1 - $250 Due by August 1
• Payment 2 - $250 Due by September 1
• Payment 3 - $250 Due by October 1
• Payment 4 - $250 Due by November 1
• Payment 5 - $250 Due by December 1
• Payment 6 - $250 Due by January 5
• Payment 7 - $250 Due by February 1
• Payment 8 - $250 Due by March 1
• Out of Council Fee - $50
