COPE Skills Weekend - hosted Heartland District

COPE Weekend — Challenge Yourself. Trust Your Crew. Conquer the Course!
Ready to push your limits, test your courage, and build a stronger crew? COPE Weekend is the ultimate outdoor adventure for Scouts BSA looking to challenge themselves while building leadership, teamwork, and confidence.
From ground-level team challenges to high-adventure elements, this weekend is all about stepping outside your comfort zone and discovering what you can accomplish together.
Low COPE — Everyone Can Play
Open to all Scouts BSA, Low COPE features ground-level initiative games and team challenges designed to build communication, problem-solving, leadership, and trust. No matter your experience level, there’s a challenge waiting for you!
High COPE — Take It to the Next Level
Ages 14+ can take on our high elements, including belayed challenges that require focus, courage, teamwork, and trust. Younger Scouts who want to experience the excitement can participate in a modified High COPE track with scaled-down challenges.
Night Zipline — Adventure After Dark!
When the sun goes down, the adventure isn’t over! Take on our zipline after dark for an unforgettable experience. Same thrilling ride… completely different perspective!
More Than Just Obstacles: COPE is about more than climbing, balancing, and zipping through the trees. It’s about learning to communicate, trust your team, solve problems, and lead when the challenge gets tough.
Whether you're looking to strengthen your patrol, build a better crew, or simply challenge yourself in a new way, COPE Weekend is your chance to step up, get outside your comfort zone, and make memories with your fellow Scouts.
What to Bring: Closed-toe shoes • Weather-appropriate clothing • Water bottle • Can-do attitude!
Who Can Attend: Scouts BSA of all ages. High COPE age and height requirements apply to applicable elements.
Come ready to challenge yourself, trust your crew, and conquer COPE!
