Scout Shabbat 2025

Event Details

Scout Sabbath is observed in January to commemorate the birthday of the scouting movement in America. The religious holiday, also known as Scout Shabbat, is an important opportunity for Jewish Scouts to celebrate the founding of the Scouts in America and exhibit their religious pride. It is also a great time for non-Jewish Scouts to join with Jewish Scouts in this observance in solidarity with scouts being reverant.

What: Scout Shabbat

When: January 31st at 6:30 PM (5:30pm if you wish to participate in the opening flag ceremony)

Where: Congregation Rodeph Shalom 2713 Bayshore Blvd, Tampa, FL 33629

Parking is accessible from approximately 2752 South Ysabella Avenue, Tampa, FL 33629 (Behind the temple).

Why: Because a Scout is Reverent

Bonus: Scouts that attend will receive a unique Scout Shabbat dangle patch.
