The Timucua Tomahawk is an exciting, fun-filled weekend event for older youth, hosted by the Timucua district. It brings together troops, crews, and ships from wide and far for a series of outdoor activities, skill challenges, competitions, and team-building exercises. The Camporee is designed to promote teamwork, leadership, and scouting skills in a lively, hands-on environment.
Throughout the event, scouts will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, such as shooting, climbing/rappelling, canoe racing, hiking, and a friendly cook-off competition. There may also be themed events, campfire programs, and opportunities for scouts to showcase their individual or troop talents. The weekend typically culminates in a grand campfire ceremony, where participants celebrate their achievements, share stories, and enjoy fellowship.
The Timucua Tomahawk is not just about competition; it's also a time for scouts to build camaraderie, make new friends, and strengthen their connection to the scouting community. Whether you're a seasoned scout or new to the program, the Timucua Tomahawk is an unforgettable experience that encourages personal growth and a deeper appreciation for the outdoors.
