Teen Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health is important to the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council and we are pleased to offer a Teen Mental Health First Aid Course for Teens at the Service Center OR via a virtual option. 

Teen Mental Health First Aid is a course designed to help teens recognize mental health challenges in peers as well as in their own behavior. 

This course will go over how to open the conversation about mental health and substance use challenges, the common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance challenges, the impact of school violence and bullying, how to seek the help of a responsible and trusted adult. This course is specifically designed for youth ages 14-18 or in 9-12 grade. This will be divided into 3 days with time available for discussion and questions.  

This course is being presented by Directions for Living

When: August 5th, 7th, and 9th from 6-7:30 PM

Where: Online or in person at the Volunteer Service Center in Tampa 

Who: Youth aged 14-18 can attend

Cost: FREE
