2018 Summit Adventure Leadership Training
SUMMIT ADVENTURE LEADERSHIP TRAINING (SALT)
Attention Boy Scouts (age 13+), Venturers,Sea Scouts, and Explorers!
An amazing opportunity has just become available at the Summit Bechtel Reserve!
June 18th – 22nd, 2018
The Summit Adventure Leadership Training (SALT) provides an opportunity for older Boy Scouts, Venturers, Sea Scouts and Explorers to enjoy the adventures available at the Summit Bechtel Reserve and learn how to be a high adventure champion in their units, district and council.
Perhaps you missed out on the Jamboree, or you want to go back and experience all the high adventure venues without all the crowds! This is for YOU!
Through the generosity of a private donor, the cost for the program, normally $500, is just $40.
The total cost, including travel, is just $360
This includes motor coach transportation to the Summit in beautiful West Virginia, all meals, tent lodging with cots, and the above described high adventure program and promotional training.
Payment schedule: $120 initial deposit, $120 due May 1st, and final payment of $120 due June 1st.
White Water Rafting trip – in the New River Gorge is available but costs $35 extra. You can sign up for this extra experience when you register online through the Council.
Required documents:
Current Annual Health and Medical Record - Parts A, B, & C (dated June 23rd 2017 or later), due to contingent staff by June 1st .
Swim test status form verifying passed BSA Swim test for all aquatic activities and white Water Rafting. Must be current (2018) and signed by a current BSA Lifeguard or Swim and Water Rescue.
Note: Must be between 50 and 250 lbs to participate in Aerial Sports activities (climbing, zip-lines, etc).
